Default Re: Can I/should I attempt to rebuild my helmet dizzy?

You have the 37-41 helmet distributor. I would suggest going to Skip Haney for a replacement coil. He rebuilds originals to better than original and also a new condenser tested by himself. Ford did not cast the body of the distributor but had about 3 different suppliers that for identification cast their Ford identification number in each. the numbers. All of the 37-41 distributors use the same settings and inter changeable internal and external parts. In 41 there was a change to the advance weights and advance plate allowing the advance to come in slightly sooner and slightly more about 2 degrees. The 41 advance plate is marked 11A-xxxx for the modified advance which is considered slightly better.
