Many aftermarket wheels have less backspace/positive offset than stock size '57 FoMoCo steel wheels, so they sit a little farther out from the wheel hubs and the wheels are generally wider as well.

If you try to order aftermarket wheels with the width and backspace you want, you may find they're back-ordered forever or 'Unavailable'. I waited just over 10 months for a pre-paid set of these standard offset 15 x 6 Torq Thrust wheels.
