Hary, maybe you be the judge on this one . Is the car running ok? One way valves are not a common fit on vehicles, guess if I was to put one in it would go roughly where you have it. You should only need to prime you fuel pump for about 15 seconds for it to do its job , more-so if its pumping up there at 7 psi. You can generally hear it change sound when the bowls full.
