Remember it is a flame arrester not really a screen. The suppliers have a replacement for the 30 and 31 cars.

Our late '31 with indent firewall reverted back to a screw in type. Repro's not available I believe for the late '31. Sometimes the top threaded portion is "welded" in by corrosion, and the tool with tangs may not get it out.
