Default Double deckers

This is sort of a response to the current thread asking "At my age why do I bring these things home?". I love bringing them home. After having them squirreled away under the bench or worse yet in a dank shed in our Miserable Pacific Northwest winter, I now have a section of my shop with a cement floor that is becoming dedicated to engine work. I have been buying the 39.95 Harbor Freight engine stands and welding a couple of rudimentary brackets on the base so I can get a two for one floor space deal. The lower bracket allows the botom engine to sit on it's pan rails. These 'double deckers' tuck in under some wall mounted shelving and when it's time to look at what's up with blocks I just roll one back. I use junkyard paint pens to note the bore size and other noteworthy info to lable what I have. I am not collecting them to sell, but if I ever retire I might venture into that realm. For now I am just sharing my block storage method. I was very lucky to come across 8 good blocks when a collector moved away. It was said that he junked 13 other blocks, but kept these!
