The ammeter doesn't show any major discharge unless I use the brakelights. I don't have the light switch attached to the steering column yet. Would that affect anything? I see no movement on the ammeter when the engine is running at all. The generator does not get hot when the engine is not running....but it sure took a long time to cool down.
