The floor board would have just had a hole cut out for the gear shift lever to stick thru. There would have been just a plate to cover the access hole to grease the bearing without taking the floor out. The multiple disk clutch was used up to Nov 1928 and would have had a crossover with the pistol grip center parking brake lever.
