I had one Les Schwab store tell me they didn't do it in Prineville anymore, and one who said the whole process was 26 bucks,no problem.I was told its the store managers discretion, coating wire wheels can be dicey.

Id say seating lugnuts against powder coating no problem.

seating fan hub on shaft different story, locking tapers like the fan shaft/hub require a 1 degree difference in taper to lock by interference fit. so the hub female taper is one degree different than the water pump shaft taper..any imperfection with the coating on the female side could give a false fit.Its akin to painting a rear brake hub before installing it on the axle taper..
