The answer to your question you sure almost any carburetor off a tractor updraft will work on Model A with an updraft manifold to make it perform correctly you have to match the intake hole from the carburetor to match the hole in the manifold. You can go as far and use a bigger carburetor intake whole and hug the manifold out to match it it doesn't make any difference the jetting is what makes the difference in how your car will run and as far as the reference goes about steady RPM on a tractor versus a car you will find that the governor does all that work
