Dave. Just be patient and keep looking locally. There are many, many cars within a 3 hours drive of you , just sitting in garages, as their current owners have become too old to use them or have passed away. They come up all the time. Craigslist is a good source as are estate sales. I live near Atlantic City and know of quite a few sitting, not for sale "yet". I'll keep an ear out for you, as will anyone else who has read this post. $15K seems a reasonable target to get a fully operational car, but needing the usual battery and tires.
