The subtext of this approach is that Henry's word is best, final, and all knowing. I think automotive engineering, road construction, and best driving practices have changed since 1928. In addition, Henry's recommendation without context of
why he recommended something is just part of the story, and an old story at that.
I think I'd follow an experienced modern Model A engine rebuilder's advice, or a consensus of rebuilders, more than a 93 year old book.
