Re: 1935 v8 engine, can a 1939/48 cam be used in it?
I have used many 39-41 Cams in Early engines to take advantage of the bolt on cam gear with zero issues. Remember if you use the late 42-48 cam you would have to use a adapter to use the original 3 bolt distributor. But since you are using a two bolt timing cover itwould make best sense to use a 42-48 cam.. I have done such and noticed no issues. PS why is everyone so insistent with the two bolt distributor rather than a 3 bolt converted to later internals?
