No: Because the oil doesn't need to pass through the bushings as it passes through the holes at top of pump. The new bronze bushings are some what random size so i would check before pressing them into your pump . You may crack pump housing if they're too big. You may also need to fit them to the oil pump shaft as unfortunately whoever makes them, they're not the right size.
