IMHO, I think aluminium foil will only be a temporary fix. Aluminium is soft and I suspect it will "flog out". I like the centre punch idea better. If you end up using loctite, take it apart and clean the syrfaces well (I use wax and grease remover from when I paint). One drop of #290, which is applied AFTER assembly is all it will take.
