Per the "Restoration Guidelines", page 2-11, 2011 revisions: "The first distributor upper plate was forged, cadmium plated, and had a wide flat arm and riveted ball. After January 1928, the forged plate had a one piece arm with the integral ball end bent at a 45 degree angle. This plate was either cadmium or copper plated depending on supplier. The plate was changed to a cadmium plated steel stamping in late 1928."
