I don't know if anyone rebuilds old coils, or reuses the housings. I kind of hate to throw them out, but I do. I only paid $86 dollars for the rebuilt starter on my '54 - bought it online and they didn't want the core back, so I have my original sitting in the garage. Guess I'll just take it to NAPA and see if they want it.
I have body parts for old cars I no longer have. Hood, trunk lid, fender and windshield for a '63 Olds 88. All lying around my attic and basement. No serious swap meets around here. I'd like to trade some of that stuff for a pair of good hood hinges for my '54...but then I think: who out there with '54 Ford hood hinges wants Olds parts?
. So in my basement they sit.
I'll eventually try the AACA forums for parts and stuff. Even if I don't advertise, I think they have parts wanted secyions. Good idea for the OP.
