Default Re: Bought our Christmas tree today and heard a fun Model A story.

I parked my 1929 Briggs body pick up at the Christmas tree lot. When I returned to my truck there were 2 men in their 80s looking at it.
One man shared that he had owned a1930 Cabriolet for over 50 years and recently sold it to his younger brother. He said it was a Canadian Model A and he found it while visiting Blaine, Washington, by the Canadian border, in the 1950s. He had asked around and was told that there was a Model A parked in a local garage. He went to the house and knocked. The elderly owner told him that he had a shotgun behind the door and demanded to know what he wanted. He explained that he was told that there was a Model A at that address and that he was looking for a Model A to restore.
The owner showed him the Model A, but he explained that he wasnt ready to sell it.
A year later the young man returned. The owner said he was ready to sell the Model A, but he required $150 so he could purchase material to build a privey.
