If you read the accompanying expose in my link above, Jim Pullen (19Fordy) was indirectly the inspiration for this project when I noted that solid, fan-lowering metal body in a picture of the 8BA in his gorgeous black '40 coupe. That hand-fabricated chunk of steel allows you to get the fan down low enough that the fan blades clear the radiator core. That specific fan blade is manufactured by a well-established fan blade manufacturer....not some offshore, back-yard hack shop. It is the only blade of any quality that we could find that would physically fit the space we had to work with, which is one of the main problems faced with installing an 8BA in a '36....limited space for a mechanical fan. That fan has proven itself to cool Heard's engine in the Florida summer heat, even just sitting there while idling, thank you. DD
