The issue in your application is it is limiting the acceleration. If acceleration is something your not that interested in, then wouldn't be that much of a cocern. In a lighter car it would be a bigger consideration, in a heavier vihcile not so much. It is totally a personal decision, just letting people know some of the pro & cons.
