The trick to building a vehicle up from parts is to do as it has been suggested, form a plan as to what you want, stoker of street rod.
If you want it to be stock, watch the want add's, craighslist, ebay for a chassis. I have picked up several running driving chassis from guys that have bought nice vehicles which they street rodded.
Street Rodders do some very dumb things...
