Mike, The shorter rods with the bends attach to the knobs on one end and the other end goes through the firewall. The longer rod, with the quick release fitting, attaches to the shorter (bent) rod using the black rubber coupler. The quick release attaches to the carb lever. As I remember, the longer two rods will be slightly different lengths but the bent rods should be the same. Email me at
