10 amps and 2 amps is the same but the wattage being fed to the battery on a 6 volt battery is half that of a 12 volt. And that applies to any amperage charger.

A 6 volt charger, by design, limits the voltage to a 6 volt battery to around 6.5 Volts! A 12 volt charger, by design, limits voltage to around 14 volts give or take a bit on both voltages. Watts law power formula is P = I x E So, at 6.5 volts and 2 amps a 6 volt battery is being fed 13 watts and a 12 volt battery at 2 amps is being fed 28 watts (approximately) Chargers are designed for the battery voltage they are charging. Most modern chargers do not even consider 6 volt batteries any more. My 6 Volt charger, I found at a flea market for
$5 bucks.
