So if you want to grease the hub bearings just remove the hub and drum and pack more grease in you can do that with the seals in. Just take two fingers and pick more grease into the bearings with the hub seals in. There is no need to remove the seals to add grease to them.

Please all… Do NOT drop your drums. That is crazy . Steel drums could bend, cast iron drums break, and the seals unless super loose won’t come out anyway. TRue the rear axle fitting is pretty useless. Just add as describes above. Make sure your retorque axle to 100-150 lb ft pounds. Keys should be good and fit snugly . If not you have an axle fix and replacement job to do.
