Default Re: Oil pump p/up to pan clearance

For those of you thinking about a pan breather . . . because they do look cool now don't they!. I just had to put one on my 34 Ford about 40 years ago - mounted it HIGH as I could on the Driver's side . . . was very happy with how it looked. THEN - I drove the car all around town (was my daily driver).

That nice pan breather did a really nice job of keeping my brake pedals, X-member, transmission, rear and everything behind it REALLY NICELY coated in oil. You will find that putting those types of pan breathers will result in oil mist/spray/leaks no matter what you do with them . . . . you'll soon wish you never put the dang thing on.

I still have that oil pan -- needs to be welded up as it will never have a pan breather on it again as long as I own it. LOL
