I have the quiet ride firewall insulator. It was not too difficult to install. I did not use the adhesive that came with the insulator. I just used the speedometer clamp screw and another one on the drivers side of the firewall. I did not use the 2 screws for the coil. The mold of the insulator matches the firewall perfectly. Not only does it reduce the noise factor in the car, it also minimizes the heat transfer through the firewall. It comes in black. However, I wanted mine brown to match my kick panels and carpet. I purchased a can of special brown paint from quiet ride. Perfect match. It is a very good upgrade for your "A" and not too expensive.
