Napa coils are pretty good. We are all assuming you are running a 6 volt system. If the car has been converted to 12 volts, I would expect to have trouble with an original type coil.
I needed a coil for a '51 Olds (which is still 6 volt). I found one on Rock Auto (of all places) and it was made in the USA and seems to be a good unit.
