Guess I'm lucky. My '47 with original 59AB engine now has 35,000 miles on its rebuild, never had an oil filter system, still puts out good oil pressure and doesn't burn oil. I do change the 10w-30 oil each 1,000 miles and it drains-out relatively clean. I modified the air filter to use a K&N paper-type filter, add MMO to my gas, and idle the engine as little as possible. I'll stay with this game.
