I use the kevlar bands in my Model Ts and added synthetic oil to one of mine on a oil change etc...
The bands slipped really bad , really screwed up the works for some time. I changed the oil ( i like to use shell rotella 1 gallon bottles) had to drive the car for sometime before the band action came back.
My thinking is dont use synthetic in a Model T....................
