I spent a little time fiddling with the '39 today...
Found some newspapers stuffed here and there...
I have been unable to get the seat to slide back... I decided that it wasn't worth fighting it while bolted in... so... out she came!... only broke one bolt!
Apparently at some point the mounts had broken... probably unknown to the drivers... it eventually cut through the floor... I'm sure they noticed it at that point!
so they pulled the seat.... brazed the mounts back together and patched the floor by laying chunks of sheet metal over the holes!
anyways... heres a few photos...
I'm still a big fan of the new tires!!!
Keep catching myself stopping and staring at it! haha
