THANK YOU to all of you that have replied. This is all good information and gives me things to look at on a one by one basis. I will start by lowering the electric fuel pump first then try a longer drive. I will let you all know back what it took to get it a reliable driving '36 Ford pickup again. It will be several months from now before I can try because last Saturdays drive (that it quit running for me) was to the auto body shop for paint and install of the bed and rear fenders. Luckily the auto body shop is only about 2 miles away from my house. At that time I will send some more photos of the finished pickup.
