If your metal rollers are roached and/or your nylon versions aren't cutting it, do what I've had to do: get to the hardware store and check on patio or screen door rollers. I had to special order a pair of rollers through Lowe's to adapt to my '29 Model A window risers. The Prime-Line D 1638 rollers are just a bit large, but can be adapted for my purpose. They are steel and bronze, 27/32" o.d. There are others available without special order that are larger and might work for you. They operate in dusty, dirty areas so are made to last in similar environments.
