Y'all ever thought about the everyday 6v/12v conflict that occurred umpteen times a day way back when? Neighbor's '49 Ford battery (6v) is too weak to crank the old flathead over. Since SHE is so good looking (and a really NICE person, too), I decide to give her a push with my new '55 Chevy (12v). When both bumpers line-up and touch, we now have a COMMON ground between 6v POS ground system and a 12V NEG ground system. Even with this common ground, the fact remains that electrically, you have two separate circuits that have no detrimental effect on each other. DD
