There is a significant difference between "Henry Ford", and Edsel Ford, and Bentson Ford, and Edsel's son Henry Ford ll, the grandson of Henry Ford. But the point is that the Seller of the 1929/1930/1980 Ford Model A was leading the buyer to believe that it was
THE Henry Ford that Shay was dealing with.
That notwithstanding, a salient point to be recognized is that the seller of the Shay is also telling the market place that the Shay is a duplicate body of the original 1929/'30 Model A - using the same molds, dyes, stampings etc. as was originally used in 1929/'30 to make the original Ford Model A.
I am not sure that is altogether the wholesome truth .
Additionally, in the
http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z...A-Replica.aspx link provided by RonC in post #10 (a story that is well known); as used in the context of 2016, the word "Ford" is used to mean the Ford Motor Company - NOT Henry Ford. It looks as if the uneducated 'Salesman' used that website as his base of information - only his lack of education and knowledge misconstrued and took 'creative license' to make his sales pitch with mis-information. Sadly, these people also vote.
