The wrenches may fit the same size nut or bolt head, but the outside size and shape of the wrenches and the markings are different. Someone who wants original tools for the correct era of their vehicle would need to be able to distinguish between them. Most likely, they will be showing the correct tools in a display with their vehicle.
Now, if all you want is a half inch wrench, then it really doesn't matter when it was manufactured or where you obtained it.
