I had a 59 block sleeved to take care of a tiny pinhole leak in the cylinder wall below to piston travel area. The shop that sleeved it use some type adhesive product like Locktite between the cylinder wall and sleeve to ensure the sleeve didn't move. If you need the name of the peoduct I can get for you form the machine shop. As pointed out, usually pinning, (stitching), will solve most crack problems. On the East cost we have a wizard, (Frank Casey), that has been doing for years.
