Steve, Will (and everyone else) I appreciate your taking the time to wade through all I wrote. I was trying things as you fine people were providing advice.
You and others are right in that when I see no voltage I'm calling it a short yet there is no heat, smoke, etc. (which is good news). So I agree it's just a zero voltage and likely a bad or open connection. I did wire brush the copper switch bolt and the connector after the photo but I'll do it again when I'm done earning the pay I might need to fix this. Tom
