There are probably different ways to do this job, but here's how I do it.
With the inside trim off of the door and without the channels, I put the glass in the slots in the door and connect it to the window crank.
With the window down, I slide the new felt window channels down into the slots along side the glass on each side. Hook the top retainer on the felt channel into the slot at the top, then pull the felt channel snug and rivet the bottom of the felt channel to the bottom of the metal channel.
