My F6 is also missing that part, but I just crack the choke it will idle up enough for me..
Thanks everyone, that is what I suspected. I have been doing the same thing pulling the choke out to increase the idle. I'm going to study the carb and see if I can figure out where to attach the seperate cables and make a bracket. Have welder - will make fire!

I also think I'll order new cables for all the functions. They're all pretty stiff and I get confused easily enough without having them labled wrong....
