Default Re: Who Needs a New 6 Volt Battery?

Today I went to the giant Le Sueur swap meet and the second thing I bought was this identical Fleet Farm battery for $25. No tax, no core needed, and it's only 17 months old, so that was a good deal.

I already installed it in my 1950 Studebaker because yesterday another brake line rusted through on my 1999 Olds, thanks to road salt. So now my Stude will have to be my daily driver until I fix that brake line.

I saw a 1928 Phaeton at the swap meet today. It was a nice older restoration and he was asking 16 K for it. The Le Sueur swap is huge, and some cars were parking a mile away. It's based on old tractors and stationary engines, but there's anything from antique wind chargers to bear rugs. I bought a mint pair of Model A king pins for $7 there, but this year I didn't find any 3X plugs. I only had 6 hours there, as I rode with a friend, so I didn't get all the rows covered.
