How about next time just ignore the ignorant and answer the question?

Take the pan off, repair it right(weld it up) and move on. Not a fan of JB weld where oil will be or has been. It never seems to seal up. JB works great on manifolds and such. My buddy has a boat with a cracked block (4 cyl. mercruiser) JB weld repaired the crack and it's been in constant service for 15 years. True story.
