I have posted this before.

For what it is worth here is a problem I had when removing pins to install mirrors.

I tried without success to remove the first pin ... it just would not budge. I did succeed in damaging the hole in hinge.

Then I bought one of the pin removal tools and the pin came right out "as slick as butter".

What I found out was that the original pins on the coupe measure 15/64ths or 0.243 and over size pins from vendors are 0.250.

I was using a 1/4 inch (0.250) drift to try and knock out the pin ... 0.017 too large, which was the reason I had so much problem with driving out the pin.

Note the pins, of 3 different lengths, that came with the pin removal tool are 0.243 not 0.250!

I never did find a drift of size 0.243!!

NOTE: As I remember certain models use different diameter pins.
