Actually I've never ran into the curb . Sometimes small dents can happen on the thin stainless hubcaps . If or when it happens , I don't try to beat the dent out . I turn the cap over on a smooth hard surface and rub the dent out with a piece of wood from the back side . If the hubcap is badly bent, the dent can't be rubbed out . I bend the tabs in a V shape on my hubcaps so they can be removed and installed like modern hubcaps . Hub caps are cheap and may not be worth the trouble of trying to straighten .
