As to the wheel straps, the ones on my personal car hauler trailer worked ok when I brought Elvira home. I also did a safety strap at both axles just in case, ust wrapped it around the axles. Easy peasy, and the car can bounce along on it's own springs. I forgot to strap the manual wiper down good, and it left a mark on the windshield, but that was the only issue.

Yes, you may see the vinyl top balloon up a bit, but that is normal. Be more fun to just drive the car though, and cheaper too.
