As 296 V8 mentioned ...use Permatex 'Right Stuff'.....end of story. There are so many forums on leaky studs...maybe there should be a 'reference' section on the Ford barn with identifiable terms such as " Sealing studs on Flatheads". This product also has multiple uses on a car....once you try it, you will not be able to exist without it.....believe me. I introduced this to a local classic car restoration shop......there're hooked...Robert
