Ah, the joys of working on the front end of a '41, with its oddball components!

I vote for using stock Houdaile shocks. The only reason Ford went away from them is that they were so much more expensive to manufacture than tube shocks. My '41 handles fine, and I throw it around pretty hard on some rough roads. If worn out, they are rebuildable.
