Default Re: Wind Wing Glass - Closed Car

I did a test fit of the A-18000-C Wind Wings by Vintique on the driver's door of my 190A. Be aware that this set of wind wings requires modifications to fit them to a car. The issues I see so far:
> No installation instructions;
> Tempered glass, so it cannot be trimmed to improve its fit;
> Glass for slant windshield cars has an odd shape, so they have a top and a bottom and a one-way fit. The top & bottom of the glasses are not marked;
> Glass shape is a poor fit in the brackets, so the brackets will need to be modified to get a better position of the glass;
> Glass setting material is old, it stinks (out gassing) and it easily cracks;
> Oval head machine screws that pinch the mounting brackets to clamp the journals of the brackets that hold the glass are too long;
> Thread pitch of the oval head screws that attach the mounting brackets to the doors is too coarse;
> Mounting brackets lack gaskets to protect the paint on the car doors.

I value the function of the wind wings enough that I will not return them. To the contrary, I will post here what I windup doing to make the Vintique Wind Wings fit.
