Default Re: Locating 1937 Ford Heater Hose

A footnote about my comment in #10 regarding the center placement of a heater in a '30 model EFV8.
With the introduction of the column shift in '40, in '41 through '48 Ford generally placed their heater/defroster unit in the center of the firewall which was a good location because it allowed heat to get to the rear passenger area, however, it is a poor location for the hoses, routing around the fuel pump, etc.

Many people are of the believe that the proper location for a heater in a '40 or earlier vehicle is in the center of the firewall. locating the heater on the passenger side allows for a clear path for the hoses
