Default Re: Speedometer Cable- A Grease Pump?

A lot depends on what is utilized for u-joint lube. Ford made their own formula of sodium soap and gear lube mix. The cavity really shouldn't be filled up. It only needs to bathe in lube. The best modern lube is the John Deere corn head grease. It is a thixotropic grease that turns fluid in motion but gets more solid after motion stops. It will stay in the cavity better than anything else.
