I haven't been posting on the FordBarn for a while, busy working on the second annual Cigar City Concours d'Elegance. At this point I'm not sure what we are going to do about the annual Barner's Bash aka the Winterfest. But this is a tech question: I installed a (set up by Skip Haney) distributor and rebuilt OEM coil several months ago in the '39 CS and everything has been fine until about two weeks ago when I discovered a split in a section of fuel line, letting air get into the fuel. I fixed that problem and now the engine will fire up and idle just fine, it even accelerates in first and second gear (up to a point) if I push it beyond the normal shifting rpm range is starts to break up. In high gear it's fine at lower rpms but, when I try to accelerate, it starts breaking up
Looking for answers, solutions, suggestions. I've checked all electrical connections in the charging system and (I have not let any smoke out of the wires
) so I'm at a loss.
