to al's28/33....Thank you for the compliment about the Very nice set up on your spare mount. No problem with hi-jacking this thread. Yes, Don Rogers post #21 above clarifies the correct position. I did see years ago a '35 Ford pickup that had the valve stem in the down position and the bracket going straight up and over the spare tire. I liked the looks of it so I did the same. I also drilled a drain hole 180 degrees from factory.
